9 Ways to Really Live More in the Moment

The beautiful gift of presence is something you can experience when you spend some this with a child outside in nature, taking a walk, going to the zoo. Said child will see things that you have forgotten to see.
Adults have somehow lost the ability to see uniqueness in the ordinary and that is what a kid will bring back. It will be fascinated by a bug, by a colored doorway, or simply by a stone or wooden stick on the ground. We can learn a little something form a child about living in the moment.
Because living in the moments is where happiness awaits.
How to be more present:
  1. Step back and look at your life with gratitude. Because if you look very closely you’ll see there are so many things to be grateful for and I don’t know a more powerful practice to be in the moment.
  2. Disconnect. Leave your mobile at home or in your purse on silent and take a couple of hours off. Stay off of social networks and just connect with people in real life.
  3. Listen. When connecting with people, really listen to what they have to say. You’ll hear when something’s wrong. But you may also pick up on some inspiration for yourself. You just have to listen. You’ll be right there in the moment.
  4. Organisation. It will help you to more often say yes to spontaneous happy moments, as you have everything under control and can better let go.
  5. It’s the little things in life and mostly the smaller moments that will be the ones you’ll always remember. So don’t let them pass without realizing it.
  6. Stay positive. Don’t worry about the future or be unhappy about your past. Rather be happy in this present moments and allow your mind to be filled with many beautiful and positive thoughts.
  7. Embrace your inner child! Spend time with kids. Allow yourself to be a kid again. Walk through this world with open eyes so you may recognize the beauty around you.
  8. Don’t stress. We don’t need to achieve everything right now in order to validate your impact in the present moment. Give yourself time, time to enjoy where you are now.
  9. Fall in love with the process of being present. It’s an active choice. So give yourself permission to be more mindful.
And never forget, you’re exactly where you need to be.
