Happy Helpers

Sometimes we all need a pick-me-up. Something to bring us back to our happiness.
Here are 10 little helpers to get you back on track.

  1. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
    Happiness is not something that you’ll get from external things. Instead, done well it’s a complete inside job. It’s a feeling that you can learn to generate for yourself once you know what happiness feels like for you.
  2. Be forgiving, as it will serve you more.
    Not forgiving someone and holding on to whatever happened will harm you more that it will harm the person you can’t learn to forgive. So let that weight be lifted off of your shoulders through forgiveness.
  3. Get to a point where you don’t care what other people think about you. 
    Yes, that one can be difficult. Because society suggest that it is important what others think. But I say, it’s more important that you can face yourself in the mirror each morning. You need to live a life thats right for you and make choices that serve you. Don’t let the fear of what others might think get in the way of living a happy life that’s perfect for you.
  4. Let time do its magic.
    Some things take time. Let that time pass and be patient. There is a right moment for everything.
  5. Change is always just around the corner.
    If there is one constant in life, it is that nothing will stay the same. Life changes, you change. That also means that a bad time is always followed by a good one and the change you’ve been longing for might just be around the corner.
  6. Don’t compare your chapter 1 to someone else’s Chapter 10.
    Everyone’s story is different, which means they can’t be compared. So follow your own path and write your own story instead of trying to be someone you’re not. And it’s actually quite liberating to follow your own path, be your authentic self, love who you are and live a life that lights you up.
  7. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
    Smile yourself as often as you can and you will meet three people that will smile back at you. Just watch how your mood improves because of those smiles!
  8. Keep learning, because the lessons you learn will last you a lifetime.
    Learn and grow as if you were to live forever. It opens new worlds, makes you stronger and wiser while bringing you closer to your dreams and your happiness.
  9. Laugh as much as you can.
    Laughing lifts your mood instantly and keeps it at a great happiness level. So laugh. Make jokes. Be silly. Your state of mind will thank you for it.
  10. Get rid of resentment and hate, as you’ll only hurt yourself by having those feelings. 
    Hate is an ugly fellow to carry around with. Letting go of that negative feeling is one of the healthiest decision you will make for yourself.
