Try this Summer Happy List

Finally, summer! In itself alone just pure happiness with sunshine, longer nights, tasty grilled food…
Here are some 5 things that will help you create an extraordinary summer for yourself this year – hopefully beyond the summer season.

  1. Be the summer you want to see!
    It’s all about how you approach life and summer for that matter. So if you want to spend time outside, find a nice lake you can go to over the weekend. Or organize a barbecue for your friends. Surprise your partner with a night picnic. Watch a movie in an open air cinema. Make memories that will last you a lifetime!
  2. Enjoy the sun while it shines!
    Instead of letting your head wander thinking about past troubles or worrying about the future, try to stay in the now. You don’t want to miss what this beautiful season has to offer. Use all your senses; smell and feel it. Enjoy the light until late at night, smell the fresh air after a thunderstorm, watch the sun going down at night without getting cold, walk barefoot on grass or through the sand. And enjoy the moment, be present while doing all those things.
  3. Try something new.
    There are so many new things that you can try during the summer. All outside activities are possible and there is so much to experience. Visiting an amusement park, renting a convertible for a weekend or organize a summer party for your loved ones. Yet, this does not have to be costly! Think small. Explore a new area close by. Dive into a book while sunbathing on your balcony or at a lake. A picnic style game evening with friends. Again, the possibilities are endless. So get creative! Finding happiness can be as simple as finding something you enjoy doing and adding this to a list of things you do this summer.
  4. Take it easy!
    Summertime is usually the warmest time of year (of course, depending on where you are in the world). So make sure to keep hydrated and rest enough! Also, don’t feel, because it’s summer, that you have to be a part of every social event that is happening – and there will be a lot! So make sure to recharge in the sunshine, just sit and read a book or take a walk in a lovely area. And while doing this, try to focus on it as much as possible so as to stay in the present moment.
  5. As the summer is being kind to you, be kind to others.
    Being kind to other people just adds so much happiness to your own life as you see people around you light up with joy. It’s become rare to encounter really kind and nice people. Be different. Especially when the summer time give us a lot of Vitamin D, try and spread some of that joy.
